Welcome to the Programme for Government and Budget website

On 28 January 2008, the former First Minister, the Rt Hon Dr Ian Paisley MP MLA, and the deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness MP MLA, presented the Executive's Programme for Government which set out in detail the Executive's plans and priorities for 2008/09 and beyond.
On 29 January 2008, the former Finance Minister, Peter Robinson MP MLA, presented the Executive’s Budget which set out spending proposals for 2008-09 to 2010-11.
A draft Equality Impact Assessment (PDF 492.26 KB) carried out at a strategic level was launched at the end of January 2008. The consultation closed on 23 April 2008 and a consultation report will follow.

You can also view The Programme for Government Delivery Report for 1 April 2008 to 31 March 2009 (PDF 808 KB) which sets out an assessment of progress in delivering the Executive’s key goals and commitments and the associated targets included in the Public Service Agreement Framework.
On 12th January 2010 the Minister for Finance and Personnel announced the Executive's proposals from the Review of the 2010-11 Spending Plans (PDF 191 KB) which sets out revised departmental spending plans for the last year of the 2008-11 Budget. In addition, each department has been asked to provide further details on their respective departmental websites. The consultation on the Executive's proposals is being led by the Assembly Committees.
